Wow.
You guys!
I am overwhelmed (in a good way) by all of the love shown to my family and me over the last few days. Every call, text, email, message, and card has been filled with prayers, scriptures, and encouragement. Mere words cannot begin to convey the hope that fills my soul when you sweet people reach out to me with such love. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. Team Tina Rocks!
My Labor Day holiday was spent with all of my favorite people. My parents, sisters, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, and dear friends rotated in and out all weekend. And they brought food every time they came! I haven’t had to cook in like, a week! Seriously, if you have food, come over. We love people who bring food. We partied for three solid days at the Mac house and I loved every minute of it. My family is my rock. Oh how I love them.
Every Tuesday I volunteer at our church in North Little Rock. It’s my favorite day of the week. It’s not what I do while I’m there, even though I do love my little jobs, it’s who I get to do it with that makes it so fun. I’m honored to spend my Tuesdays with some of the sweetest, strongest Christian women on this earth. We left for Houston Tuesday morning and I asked Patrick if we could stop by the church, just for a few minutes, so I could get a few extra hugs and prayers.
What a blessing those pillars of faith were to me. I walked in on a Team Tina party complete with a banner, Team Tina stickers, and they even got me a present! Before we left they gathered around me and prayed and the peace of God flooded the room and my heart. I have been carrying that love and peace around with me all day today. So thankful God put those precious ladies in my life.
Maddie’s friends sent me a picture yesterday that almost made me cry. Those sweet girls wore pink ribbons in my honor for their volleyball game. Can’t beat a Wampus Cat in pink! They won, of course.
So many gestures of kindness being sent our way, and it means more than any of you could ever know. I am in awe of the quality of people God has surrounded me with. Many times a day I am moved to tears by a timely text or photo or phone call. Please know how much I absolutely adore each of you and how grateful I am for your love.
Today was a HUGE day. We were at MD Anderson from 7:00 this morning until 6:00 this evening. So much information to process. Patrick and I are going over everything tonight and I will post an update tomorrow. Thank you for all the prayers for us today. We felt them every minute of the day, and my goodness, we needed them. God is so faithful, His peace never left our hearts for even one minute today. Thank you, Team Tina. Thank you, thank you!
The Lord your God is near to all who call on Him, even if your call is the faintest whisper. “The Lord said,”Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of The Lord, for The Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before The Lord, but The Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but The Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but The Lord was not in the fire. and after the fire came a gentle whisper. 1Kings 19:11-12 Today I am praying that The Lord strengthens your awareness of His unseen presence, that you are drawn to Him and that you are drawn to Him, and that you hear Him whisper in your heart, saying,” I am with you. I love you. I will never leave you or forsake you! Prayers my sweet beautiful lady! Love ya!!!
