Quick update. . .
Patrick and I met with Dr. Hagans yesterday and we both really liked him, just as we knew we would. My surgery will be May 6th at 3:30. Still amazed at the way God allowed all of the details to come together so quickly.
It was such a wonderful experience to leave the house, drive 45 minutes to a doctor’s appointment, and be home two hours later. After driving 16 hours roundtrip to go to all of my appointments (20 of them) since September, this was indeed a very special treat for us. I’m at complete peace and very thankful that I am able to undergo this procedure so close to home.
I received the pictures from my celebration last week and wanted to share some of them with you. It was the most gorgeous party I have ever attended. My sweet friends, Becca and Stacey, enlisted the help of Elizabeth Harvey and oh my goodness, this one has a gift! Every detail was amazingly perfect. She is like a party fairy, everything she touched turned into beauty and fun and delicious-ness. (She even served Chick-fil-A sweet tea. That tells you right there, this sister has it going on!) If you have a wedding, party or another special event coming up Elizabeth is your girl!
Thank you Becca and Stacey for being the best friends a girl could ask for; you both have loved me through my toughest hour. God was so good to me when he gave me you two! Also, thank you Elizabeth for making me feel so celebrated and special. I’m still in awe of the beauty you created for us all to enjoy that night. Sommer Holden, how wonderful are you! Thank you for taking the time to come and capture this for me. I love the photos!
We so appreciate all of you who came, texted, called, etc. It was so awesome to have my family and very special friends all in the same room. I felt the love all weekend and I am so grateful for each of you. I will never forget the love and kindness shown to me and my family during this journey. I’m a blessed one to have you all in my life.
That night will always be treasured as one of my favorite memories.
Enjoy the pics. (And yes, those cake pops were as good as they looked!)
