Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 2014

My heart is so full.

This weekend I felt the love, prayers, and support of my family and friends in an incredible way. I will never forget it.

After the race we caravanned over to our church for a celebratory breakfast so I could thank all of my dear friends and precious family for all they have done (and continue to do) for my family and me.

Yvette Swift catered an incredible breakfast and my sweet church friends Pam Harrell, Patti Whitson, and Debbie Franklin did an outstanding job decorating and serving. Our pastor, Rod Loy, poured hope and encouragement into all of our lives, and admonished us to hold onto our faith, despite any battle we may face. The entire morning was absolutely fabulous.

inflammatory breast cancerWords cannot do justice for what my heart feels. I am so full of gratitude for all of the amazing people God has placed in my life. I know I have said this many times, but each prayer said on my behalf, every text, card, gift, meal, errand, hug; every gesture of love, means so very much to my family and me.

Following are some of the special moments we captured on Saturday. Below the photo slideshow you’ll see a video Maddie made of her and her friends during the race. Just click on the big PLAY button found in the center of the video. Patrick also included TV coverage from both Channel 4 and 16. If you’d like to see even more photos, checkout my Facebook page. 😉

Again, thank you seems so inadequate to express my gratitude. Please know each of you are so very appreciated and loved.
